Position:

- Senior Manager, Product development ( 14+yrs experience)

- Manager, Product Development (11 - 14 years of experience)

Responsibilities:

- The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide management and technical leadership in the design, development and quality assurance of Altisource’s next generation technology products.

The responsibilities include the following:

- Recruit, coach, mentor, inspire, retain and performance manage a team of engineers in multiple locations.

- Drive innovation into the product roadmap and development processes, while working closely with the technology leadership team and members of the product management team

- Continue to drive the company’s position forward as a technical innovator by understanding the product portfolio (both technically and functionally) and the company’s needs.

- Produce high quality production software with predictable performance.

- Work closely with product management to maintain and strengthen the requirements process

- Work closely with the architecture team to contribute to the creation of the overall architecture development and ensure convergence and conformance of the deliverables to the architecture plan

- Within an Agile framework, work closely with the engineering team and project management to ensure that products are accurately tracked and corrective action is taken when required to keep releases on schedule

- Lead the overall implementation of best practices for the development team: design estimates, design guidelines, coding standards, etc.

- Work with production operations to ensure the stability and up time of a 24/7 real time application

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor degree/ Masters Degree in computer science or related field

- 11+ years of experience developing commercial products with atleast 4+ years as a Engineering Manager

- Inspiring and engaging leadership style

- Multi-site development management experience

- Experience with Agile development methodologies

- Ability to prioritize developmental and operational tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment including changing deadlines/priorities, providing continuous creative risk management

- Demonstrated experience to lead the creation and adoption of a software quality culture

- Strong experience in building Java based high volume web products using open source technologies like Spring, Hibernate, Activiti, Drools, ExtJS etc.

- Strong technical skills in data structures, algorithms, system design, coding best practices, build-release procedures

- Experience with Agile software development process

- Prior work experience with BPM tools and Rule Engines is a plus

- Strong technical background in LAMP stack, Design patterns and RDBMS(Oracle or Sybase) is a must

- Excellent in written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills
