Position Summary :
The position involves facilitating problem solving and driving process improvement through various Quality tools and techniques. This would involve training and mentoring of employees across functions on various improvement methodologies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Closely engage with Functional Heads and Middle Management to identify the cross functional business issues needing improvement.
- Run complex improvement projects needing methodology expertise & deeper analytics. Facilitate application of tools like Six Sigma, Lean etc into improvement projects
- Govern the measurement of impact, tracking and monitoring of the projects. Ensure sustenance and replication across applicable processes
- Enable progress reviews around improvement initiatives with sponsors & champions at defined frequency, track MIS and report analytics
- Ensure sustenance and replication of process improvement by evangelizing business benefits
- Facilitate a culture of excellence at various levels of organization. Establish systems and practices enabling functions to become self-reliant and self-sustaining in process improvement endeavours. Deliver training around improvement methodologies to identified levels (Organizational Capability building)
- Continually review & introduce new methodologies which can be applied on various improvement initiatives. - Train and guide identified Leads to enable deployment of appropriate tools and methodologies in respective projects
- Work towards the institutionalization of the Improvement Framework FITT across allocated BUs / Functions / Geographies
- Support BSC deployment across organization
- Groom and facilitate the selected functional teams for participation in external & group level competitions towards KM, Innovation, Improvement Methodologies etc
- Design, Run & Execute initiatives around DAMIC, Lean for applicable levels
Critical Competencies Required :
- Experience of working with Senior Leadership
- Strong understanding of various tools and methodologies relating Quality
- Strong understanding of Quality Standards and Certification
- Deep understanding of business processes around aligned function / BU
- Training ability on various Quality Methodologies at all levels
- Strong Project management skills, should have the ability to facilitate improvement projects and mentor teams on tools and techniques
- Effective communicator
- Assertive, aggressive & having a strong drive for results
Qualification & Experience Required :
- Post Graduate (preferably) MBA with graduation in Engineering or Statistics)
- Total Work Experience required 6-10 years, with at least 2-3 years in project management & improvement initiatives
- Accredited Lean or Six Sigma practitioner (Black Belt or equivalent) / PMP certification
- Additional certification on other Quality Tools
