(B) JOB DESCRIPTION :

Position title: Manager/ Sr. Manager - International Tax

Reports to: Partner/Director

Positions that reports to this position: DM/ AM/Articles

Liaises with (Internally):

Partner and other professionals of the Partner group

Colleagues in

(i) The same service line;

(ii) Other service lines (Transfer Pricing, Indirect Tax, etc.); and

(iii) other functions (Financial Advisory, Audit, etc.)

(iv) Administrative office e.g. accounts, billing department etc.

Colleagues in offices - within India and overseas

Liaises with (Externally):

Clients - New & Existing

Primary purpose of the role:

Client acquisition

Three-way link between Partner, other professionals and clients

Assisting creating eminence in the market

Major responsibilities & deliverables:

- Rendering services par excellence to clients

- Targeting and obtaining work from potential clients

- Responsibility for service delivery to client

- Meeting deadlines and commitments given to clients

- Developing and maintaining rapport with clients

- Being updated on tax technical issues

- Achieving target billing and meeting related financial metrics

- Ensuring that projects are completed efficiently within the budgeted time and cost

- Ensuring WIP management and collection of bills in a timely manner

- Briefing Partner on important developments

- Balanced allocation of work to team members

- Guiding and developing team members

- Development of the Tax Practice and promotion of the Tax brand name - articles in publications, speaker at seminars, etc.

- Technical knowledge

- Analytical skills & conceptual clarity

- Effective communication and presentation skills

- Time and cost management

Qualifications required - CA

Experience required, Any Specific Industry / Company exposure:

6 - 10 yrs experience in International tax and FEMA.
