Position Summary:
The Manager of Sport Engagement for University (South Asia) will be responsible for engaging with national and regional sport associations, professionals sport teams and league and key stakeholders in the sport industry to develop and execute strategies to engage and captivate key personnel within the realm of sport. This includes working closely with various stakeholders, including sports teams, academies, educational institutions and aligned partners to drive brand awareness and engagement to profile sport courses with a view to enhancing capacity and capabilities in the Indian sport industry. Sport is also central to driving the brand in India.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive sport engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals and target audience preferences.
- This includes collaborating with the Director of the Sport Network on formulating and implementing a sport strategy for India. This will also include, as required, liaising with relevant Faculty staff in sport programs to assist deliver and implement an agreed strategy.
Networking:
- Establish strong network with athletes, opinion leaders, sports industry experts, agencies, media, sports federations and local authorities.
Relationship management:
- Manage relationships with sponsors, partners, vendors and other stakeholders involved in national sports programs & events.
Partnership Management:
- Manage the end-to-end partnership lifecycle, including partner on-boarding, contract negotiation, and ongoing relationship management.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan and execute sport-related events, conferences, workshops and promotional activities, to create awareness about the sport education and programs being offered at the University.
Recruitment:
- Conduct marketing & recruitment activities for sport courses.
Enhance Engagement:
- Develop innovative strategies to foster active participation and interaction to enhance the network and its visibility in India.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics tools to evaluate the effectiveness of sport engagement initiatives and provide regular reports and insights to management for informed decision-making.
- Collecting feedback and data to improve future initiatives & overall performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in sport management and marketing is preferred.
- Prior experience of up to 5 years in sport marketing, brand management, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of sport culture and consumer behavior.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for sport and marketing
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and metrics to measure the effectiveness of sports engagement initiatives.
- Flexibility to work in the evenings, weekends, and travel as required for events and campaigns.
