Spend Analytics - Manager
Key Actions performed by this Job Holder:
1. Drives business improvement through financial and operational insight, analysis and communication to senior directors and Procurement Team.
- Aligns data from multiple data sources to arrive at meaningful outputs and reports.
- Has complete clarity on the subject and has answers to questions that would be raised by a senior director and Procurement functions.
- Has considered the audience, their requirements, sensitivity of the information and the impact it will have on the business and what are the possible solutions to it.
- Participates in cross functional analytical improvement, alignment of data and strategic reporting solutions.
- Acts as a Consultant to the team.
2. Anticipates underlying issues, highlights impact and provides possible solutions to Directors and Procurement.
- Has a strong focus to understand the process and interdependencies which is used to analyse a particular situation.
- Identifies an issue based upon knowledge of the information and delivers information which enables the Procurement team to deliver savings.
- Group Spend Forecasts and Trends will be critical to achieving the highest quality of reports.
- Ensure data quality is accurate and consistent whilst being monitored throughout the period, & any opportunities or risks identified well in advance to period end and managed effectively.
3. Uses in-depth understanding of the business model and the interdependencies to influence decision making process across the business
- Uses available data to develop different scenarios to reveal the future impact of the business.
- Identifies any gaps in the process and highlights to the relevant stakeholder to fix it.
- Maintains a long term, big picture view.
- Demonstrates the capability to create a model or theory that helps others understand a complex business solution.
4. Utilizes financial and operational process knowledge to promote and deliver process change with tangible business benefits
- Applies process expertise to consistently question and challenge status quo.
- Converts each challenge to project leads to deliver solutions and improve processes.
- Has an appetite for innovation/simpler ways of doing things with the ultimate aim of benefiting our customers.

Experience
- The candidate should be heavily experienced in both analytics and insight, with a proven record of achievements. The candidate must have the ability to work across multiple data sources and with the ability to present data in a way that is meaningful to the business.
- Accounting experience is beneficial but not critical. Logical thinking and ability to understand granular level data is important and will be a factor in selecting the successful applicant
