Desire Profile of the Candidate

- Must have significant and demonstrable experience in a leadership or a management role, in an embedded Controls systems-based engineering development environment, where quality and reliability are pre-requisites and where world class standards of efficiency and cost control are common place.

- Candidate should be able to demonstrable high levels of customer orientation and value-addition to them

- Demonstrated experience or familiarity working across international cultures is a must.

- Having worked at or with a large MNC in a managerial position would be a great advantage.

- Engineering experience should preferably have been developed in a process control oriented environment. Experience must include direct responsibility for leading engineering teams or significant cells from start up.

- Candidates should be able to demonstrate successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within a demanding high-quality engineering development environment.

- Experience of establishing new facilities or new cells will be a distinct advantage.

- Financial awareness is essential, including a good understanding of P&L, experience of setting and controlling budgets and justifying capital expenditure.

- Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.

- Commercially aware, with experience of supporting customer contract negotiations.

- A good listener and excellent in concepts of team play

- Experience of developing managers/supervision and building effective teams.

- A proven leader with appropriate presence to motivate and guide the teams to delivery excellence.

- A strategic thinker who will contribute confidently in wider discussions and initiatives regarding partnership/market place/operational excellence.

- Highly self-driven/focused/goal attaining.

Need to Have:

- Overall 20 + Years of experience

- Excellent technical expertise in designing and developing embedded products and in a manufacturing environment

- Proven Hands-on experience in implementing real-time embedded software with and without RTOS. Working knowledge in Linux/embedded Linux is a big plus.

- Sound knowledge of hardware basics and design concepts is essential.

- Sound knowledge of programming languages - C, C++ is mandatory. Scripting languages such as Python, shell scripting in Linux are a big plus.

- Knowledge of mobile application development in popular platforms - Android, IoS - is a significant plus.

- Understands implications of a prudent, process-driven approach

- Strong in test engineering concepts, processes. Managed Unit test and system test teams.

- Familiarity with test tools such as National Instruments Labview is required. Hands-on experience with - labview- is a major advantage
