Manager/Senior Manager/Tech Lead - Engineering - IT

Looking for hands-on Engineering Manager/Sr. Engineering Manager who have unique knowledge and abilities to contribute to our highly scaled web products.

The right candidate is both extremely hands on - technically excellent, with solid engineering principles - and exhibits strong leadership and people development skills. You must be a strong leader who can guide our team beyond our already high standards of engineering to the next level.

You will be responsible for making technical decisions, mentoring your fellow team members and spearheading regular experimentation on our tech-stack.

As a Manager you are responsible for the development, performance, and scaling of the new product as well as internal systems, which includes using: Node.js, Nginx, MongoDB, MySQL, JIRA, AWS, git, and Linux.

Responsibilities

- As an Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will span across all aspects of software development including design, development.

- Implementing and maintaining overall engineering objectives and initiatives.

- Lead a team and represent both your engineering team and its projects in front of business leaders and executives.

- Overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant business impact.

- Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide solutions to help them succeed in their business goals.

- In still best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.

- Work on strategy and help set direction while staying on top of the day-to-day software development Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules across ongoing projects, ensure that timelines are met in accordance with the project roadmap.

- Direct and provide ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors, set objectives, review performances, define growth plan and nurture.

- Previously worked with VP or Senior leadership at a large company

- Good to have exposure in Backend development using Python, Node JS (as that is what we work on, but we're open to evaluating people using different languages and frameworks.

- Good understanding of relational databases (preferred - MySQL / PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (preferred - MongoDB).

- Worked with IaaS like AWS / GCP / Azure etc, Message Brokers and Containers.
