The opportunity : Manufacturing Excellence Practice has expertise in delivering Operational Excellence and Digital solutions working in collaboration with other offerings within India and across the globe. EY has world class assets and uniquely combines a Digital Operational Excellence platform with Digital Manufacturing Technologies that enable clients to implement Smart/Digital Factories.

Your key responsibilities :

A Manufacturing Excellence Manager would be responsible for business transformation and/or business improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other techniques. The person will probably lead a team of other Analysts and / or Consultants on engagements with clients to discuss and deliver EY's offerings and Point of Views. Primary focus of the role would be on Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Auto, Auto Components, Food & Beverages, Chemicals and process industries

- Ability to connect strategic goals of a company with Shop Floor Processes and Activities through Operational Excellence methodologies.

- Conducting Assessment of client manufacturing facilities around Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Utilities etc.

- Support in Business Development and Asset Building, thought Capital Enhancement activities

- Training and building capability of EY client employees in Manufacturing/Operational Excellence - Green Belt/Black Belt (DMAIC & DFSS) and Kaizen Events

- Proficient in concepts and application of Operational Excellence methodologies

- Liaising with and advising clients across multiple industries at a mid to senior management level for large multi-location global organizations

- Develop, execute and maintain project work plan and budget for assigned teams

Skills and attributes for success :

- Develop, execute and maintain project work plan and budget for assigned teams

- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in your functional area of supply chain. Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offering that may assist current customer base.

- Provide mentoring and motivate diverse client engagement teams by delivering constructive on-the-job coaching to team members, while fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

- Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

- Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.

- Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients.

To qualify for the role you must have :

- BE. / Btech & MBA (from a premier institute) with a good academic background

- At least 5 -9 years of relevant post MBA experience of working in Lean Six Sigma MBB/BB trained (Black Belt certification - preferred)

- At least 7-8 years of recent supply chain consulting experience

- At least 4 years in lean, six sigma, process excellence, business process mapping, continuous improvement, etc.
