Manager/ Senior Manager - SAS, SQL, Credit Risk Strategy Development /Validation

Strategy Oversight partners with the FLU and other stakeholders to ensure that we have comprehensive monitoring to measure the success of our strategies. The ability to aggregate data across disparate sources is imperative. Overall, our goal is to drive innovation, process improvement and automation across all these activities.

Responsibilities :

- Prepare data for analytics including clean, design, move, and store (files, tables on Teradata or Hadoop or UNIX file system)

- Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data

- Provide data which is friendly, trustworthy, and high quality

- Employ a variety of languages and tools to bring systems together

- Perform tasks of data wrangling

- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality

Requirements:

Education: Graduate (Degree demonstrating training and experience in data science including mathematical component (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science)

Exp Range: 7+ years of related work experience, such as deep analytics of large data

Foundational Skills :

- Creative Problem-Solving: Approach data challenges with a clear eye on what is important; employing the right approach/methods to make the maximum use of time, machine, and human resources.

- Effective Collaboration: Carefully listen to business partners, analysts, and other stakeholders to establish requirements and ensure proper representation of information.

- Discipline and Organization: Apply structure and order to communication and documentation. Minimize risk by following best practices.

Required Technical Skills:

- Demonstrated experience using SAS, SQL & or Python

- Applied statistics skills, such as distributions & statistical testing

- Experience with transaction and credit processes and systems including the distribution and use of data for analytics, modeling, and reporting

- Ability to communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences, including facility with PowerPoint and Excel

Desired Skills :

- Accessing data on Hadoop

- Additional Programming Languages, for example R

- Ability to communicate results via interactive visualization within Tableau
