Description:

The Portfolio Analytics group focuses on providing solutions for risk and performance measurement, portfolio transparency reporting, Factor Analysis and other bespoke analytics needs of company's global hedge fund clientele. The group seeks a Quantitative Analyst who is interested in applying his/her skills in the area of quantitative analysis of hedge fund portfolios.

Key responsibilities:

- The candidate is expected to have a basic understanding on various measures of portfolio performance and risk. The candidate is expected to quickly move onto a steep-learning curve and acquire understanding of the analytics applications internal to be able answer related questions from clients.

- The candidate will resolve business problems with technical and business acumen and ideate building new analytical tools alongside contribution to maintenance/improvement of the existing tools.

- The incumbent will be involved in preparing quantitative analyses that involve portfolio risk and performance attributions, summarizing observations on broader market trends including verification of market and fundamental data and linking it to the portfolio performance.

Desired skillset:

- Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability with a quantitative aptitude

- Ability to apply numerical analyses to draw insights from financial market data

- Pattern recognition skills, strong memory and attention to detail

- Experience of having worked with Equities, Fixed Income or derivatives products

- Hands on experience in coding skills (R/Python/C/C++) along with hands-on experience with Git

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work with a team, brainstorm and engage using idea-exchange

- Ability to take ownership of assigned task and drive it independently

Qualifications:

B Tech from Tier-1 institutions or Masters in Financial Engineering/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics with relevant experience
