MANAGER / Sr. MANAGER -QUALITY INCHARGE &QMS
Position Description :
Role :
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring quality standards are met at every stage to reduce rejections and ensure customer satisfaction; this also involves driving relevant quality systems, environmental health and safety (EHS) standards for the plant and certification like IPC and other compliances
Level of Supervision: In-Charge Plant Quality, quality inspectors/auditors, Incoming & SQA,testing.
Internal Relationships :
a) Purchase
- Interactions on incoming quality, vendor interactions,etc
b) Engineering & Production
- Interactions on manufacturing quality and product quality
c) All departments(plant)
- Interactions on the implementation of quality systems
External Relationships
a) Statutory / RegulatoryBodies
- Interactions on compliance procedures, audits, etc pertaining to environment and safetystandards
b) Vendors
- Interactions on material related quality issues, quality systems at their end, feedback/inputs to them, etc.
Age : 38 & above
Qualification: BE/ME with Electronics Only
Experience : 16 Years &above
Additional Requirements ifany : Computer proficiency, SAP or relevant ERP, IPC certified (preferred)
key responsibilities
- Ensures quality standards are met at each stage (incoming, process and outgoing) to fulfill customer expectations
- Drives implementation of relevant quality systems at the plant
- Facilitates internal and external audits for quality, customers, and EHSaspects
- Implementation of AS9100 QMS, Establishment of quality system procedures, Documents and records, Customer complaint Handling & Internal NC Handling and follow-up of actions, Conducting IQA, Product & Process audit, the decision on quality issues, Good in InspectionMethodology.
- Leading and assisting a team of Engineers inspectors.
Job allocation and monitoring.
- Establishment and Implementation of AS9100 quality system requirements & generation of quality system documents and records
- Closure of AS 9100 audit NC's of surveillance audits
- Lead cross-functional team involving in root cause analysis for In-Housenonconformity.
- New product developments withFAI
- Good Knowledge of GD & T.
- Calibration monitoring of measuring instruments and gauges.
- Customer complaint handling and N.C Product analysis.
- Analysis and control of internal-conformity.
- Conducting internal quality audit (IQA) and follow-up for NCclosure.
- Establishing process and product audit plans and conducting as per plan
- Analysis of nonquality cost for internal parts
- Planning and conducting MRM and follow-up of the actions.
- Resolving issues pertaining to quality,
- Providing training to subordinates, review of the performance of the team members periodically.
- Coordinating with the customer and also with supplier regarding quality issues
- Reporting to top management on quality status
- Supplier evaluation, supplier performance monitoring, supplier audits and follow-up for theactions
- Expertise in Global Best practices-ISO9000, TL9000, AS9100, ISO/TS 16949, 8D problem solving, - Poke yoke-, LEAN SixSigma

- Mentoring Green Belts & Training on Six sigma
- Value stream mapping & implementation of Pull system
- Facilitates internal and external audits for variousrequirements
- Ensure regular monitoring, reviews of Quality Matrix for overall quality improvements.
- MIS and Monitor and improve supplier quality rating
- OPEX
- Identify and initiate company level continuous improvement projects via CFT approach for Quality improvements, cycle time reductions, lean improvements
- Identify and develop continuous improvement champions
