Role & Responsibilities :
- Work with the leadership and the HR team to develop and implement HR processes and initiatives
- Be the custodian of HR guidelines and policy framework by actively engaging with managers across all levels to create consensus.
- Serve as a coach to guide and advise managers at all levels. Ensure organisation values are practised in the right spirit
- Recruitment : Ensuring a quick turnaround in terms of hiring, considering this is a fast growing startup.
- Onboarding & Induction : Onboarding & Induction planning & execution for the new joiners in the organisation.
- Performance Management : Using innovative, modern and quicker methods of setting KRAs to managing performance appraisals
- Employer Branding : Building initiatives to build the employer brand, and ensure that it is a brand to reckon with, among the potential employees, and a higher brand value and association for the existing employees
- Employee engagement : Build a culture of performance and take steps to create an engaged workforce.
Key Skills :
- Exposure as HR Generalist managing workforce of 100-150 employees.
- 5-8 years of experience in the industry
- HR thought leadership, solid conceptual knowledge of HR
- Knowledge of HR statutory compliance
- Understanding of legal risks and liabilities associated with HR processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Soft skills - ability to manage people
- Ability to analyze and predict bottlenecks/ issues
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated
- Should be able to work under high pressure
- Comfortable with a start up culture - ambiguous and live wire.
- You should be able to Think out of the box to resolve recruitment issues
- Most importantly, Quality & Timeline focussed
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, public administration or closely related field
- Masters in Human Resources from a good institute is essential
This is currently a single contributor role, but the team can be built based on necessity. Role will be based in Chennai.
