Direct Reports: Finance Team

Job Purpose

- This role is responsible for day to day accounting, AP and AR management, Making reconciliation, and regular and productive follow-up with relevant customers/Vendors

- This role is responsible for supervising the secretarial work done by an external professional CS firm with regard to conducting meetings, keeping records, filling and submission of records and documents with various govt. bodies/authority.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. General Business:

- Pro-actively adhere to MAS core values and code of conduct

- Ensure compliance of accounting, audit, tax as per the laid down SOP

- Conduct periodic balance sheet reconciliation for review by Finance head and CEO and take appropriate action in case of inconsistencies if any.

2. AP/AR management:

- Ensure that ledger reconciliation, balance confirmation is done periodically as per laid down SOPs

- Regular follow up with parties on collection of the debtor outstanding

- Manage the credit block in system, manage sales order approval process

- Ensure that the payment to vendors are made as pet the agreed term

- Ensure that the CN/DNs are passed on time and any accounting dispute is resolved on time with proper approval from management

3. Financial Management:

- Ensure that the monthly accounts and MIS is released on time with highest level of accuracy and completeness

- Ensure periodic reconciliation of ledgers and sub-ledgers

- Ensuring the integrity of the general ledger

4. Supervision of CS activities: (work to be executed by an external CS firm in supervision of the candidate)

- Ensure that all the Secretarial compliances are adhered

- Ensure that the required board meetings, AGM, EGMs etc are conducted and recorded on time

- Ensure that all the submission and filling of records and financials to various govt. bodies and authorities are done on time and in required manner

- Internal Verbal and written communication across teams

- External Verbal and written communication with customers and suppliers,

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Qualification : CA (+ CS preferred)

Work Experience: 5-10 years

Skills

- Knowledge of principles and practices of financial management

- Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles

- Knowledge of local, state and federal financial regulations

- Knowledge of secretarial requirements and practices

- Ability to analyze complex financial data and statistical information and prepare financial reports and statements

- High level of computer literacy, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word

- Well-developed written and oral communication skills

- Ability to deal with difficult situations tactfully and diplomatically

- Be able to respond quickly to changing priorities
