Manager/Senior Manager - Corporate & International Tax
The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of a manager will include the following:
- Taking complete responsibility on client engagements and assignments.
- Ability to independently analyze and interpret provisions under the Income Tax Act, International Tax treaties and allied laws like FEMA, Companies Act etc. in relation to corporate & international tax issues.
- Independently handling Advisory and Compliance engagements related to Direct Tax laws, such as Tax Structuring, Advisory, On-going Compliance, Litigation support, etc.
- Advise clients on intricate corporate & international tax issues like PE, GAAR, PoEM, SEP, pre/post-acquisition corporate tax advisory, entry strategies, funding options, cross-border transaction taxation and ETR analysis.
- Preparation and review of memos, presentations, opinions etc. as per client's needs and based on detailed analysis of the issues involved.
- Litigation strategy and management which includes representation before tax authorities at various forums, briefing senior counsels representing client before Courts, exploring alternative dispute resolution options/forums such as Mutual Agreement Procedure, Advance Pricing Agreement, and Advance rulings.
- Take responsibility of ensuring clients compliance obligations such as Income Tax Returns, TDS computation and returns etc.
- Managing x-SBU teams (such as transfer pricing, indirect tax, regulatory teams etc.) on key client projects as well as internal support teams (such as delivery centers, litigation team, etc.) for overall project management.
- Assistance in identifying pursuits and endeavoring to convert it to clients.
- Updating clients on on-going matters on a prompt and regular basis, keeping track of industry developments.
- Taking technical internal Learning and Education ('L&E') sessions.
- Active in knowledge sharing, contribution of Thought Leadership, article writing, etc.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience
- Prior Experience in Big 4 in corporate tax will be an added advantage.

- Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing client projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of the financial markets.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills.
- Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills.
- Motivated, creative, and decisive in approach to problem solving.
- Providing out of the box solutions for complex issues.
- Must worked under strict timelines and acknowledged good leadership skills.
- Challenge existing positions.

- Direct Tax, Corporate Tax (Income Tax & DTAA)
- Corporate Law & International Tax
- FEMA and Transfer Pricing
- Basic general knowledge of Indirect tax and accounting aspects
