Manager/Senior Manager - Commercial - Procurement - Paint Manufacturing

Job Description: The Manager-Commercial will report to the AVP Commercial and be responsible for overseeing strategic buying and operational procurement activities in the Paints section for Direct Spend category. The role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures, as well as identifying cost drivers and implementing effective negotiation strategies. The manager will conduct cost benefit analysis for Make or Buy decisions and manage strategic contracts. Vendor management and the identification and assessment of new Outside Processing Units are also key responsibilities.

The manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the procurement department, ensuring compliance with policies and government regulations. They will work closely with Technical and Production teams to develop alternate raw materials and actively manage the supplier portfolio to strengthen partnerships and optimize value for money. Driving an innovative culture of continuous process improvement is another important aspect of the role.

Requirements -

- Post Graduate degree (MBA/MSc/ME/M.Com)

- 10-15 years of work experience in a similar capacity in the organized sector, preferably in the Paint, Coatings, Inks, Adhesives, Chemicals, or related industries.

- Proficiency in using procurement tools such as SAP MM or any other ERP System.

- Exposure to Ariba, e-auctions, Advanced Excel, or Power BI.

- Strong knowledge of supplier and material analysis, contract language, compliance requirements, and financial risk.

- Ability to develop and execute business continuity strategic plans.

- Track record of building collaborative relationships with suppliers, contractors, and colleagues.

- Excellent negotiation, oral, and written communication skills.
