MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsibility of achieving retail / institutional sales targets of by acquiring investors in the base city and surrounding pre-determined geographic locations. Through varied distribution channels like Banking, IFAs and other retail distributors or directly
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Project phase):
1. Ensuring that all sales targets defined in terms of market share, assets under management by asset class or total, gross sales, net sales, number of customer accounts, number of transactions, number of SIPs, etc. are met
2. Developing new markets adjoining the base city as a separate target
3. Acquiring and handling key high net worth customers in given geography
4. Appointing distributors in the territory handled and managing relationships with existing banks and national distributors
5. Accountability for implementing all sales and distribution initiatives including sales promotion drives, new product launches etc
6. Reporting to Head of Sales on progress, giving market updates, taking feedback and implementation
7. Managing a team of sales and distribution staff - permanent as well as outsourced for given territory
8. Training internal sales team as well as distributors on markets and products
9. Managing customer and distributor interface at branches handled

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Postgraduate /MBA from premier business school
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience
- Ability to manage distributor based relationships
- Good understanding of retail financial services, preferably in mutual funds or distribution business
- Strong business acumen and commercial sense
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
