Main Responsibilities :
Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Responsible for the ongoing development of a Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) as defined by IIA Professional Practice Standards.
- Develop and maintain internal audit procedures in-line with DCPE standards.
- Conduct Quality Assurance reviews on audit mission execution and recommendation follow-up.
- Establish QA reporting and metrics to help the Regional and Local Head of Audit monitor quality and performance in relation to audit mission execution.
- Promote best practice and communicate quality expectations to the team.
- Provide technical assistance to audit staff regarding the application of audit methodology.
- Document and maintain QAIP procedures, and ensure QA workpapers are documented to support QA activity and results.
- Monitor the implementation of action plans to confirm deficiencies are addressed.
- Provide audit methodology training and coaching to new staff and contribute, as needed, to the development of DCPE training materials and audit methodology.
- Contribute to DCPE's QA community and share best practices on QAIP with other regional QA managers.
Technical Skills :
- Able to perform QA reviews with sufficient autonomy, organization and responsiveness to conduct assignments efficiently.
- Strong understanding of the audit process and methodology - rigorous and reliable in the audit approach.
- Good understanding of investment banking as well as support functions.
- Strong analytic and synthesis skills.
- Good project management skills and efficient management of time.
- Able to manage priorities, deadlines and budget constraints.
- Coaching skills - Able to manage and coordinate efficiently a team of auditors with different levels of experience and differing backgrounds. Able to articulate clearly the audit's objectives, timeframes and priorities. Coordinates tasks and supports members of the team.
- Good knowledge of standard IT tools such as MS Office suite.
- Compliant with confidentiality requirements.
- Thorough accounting knowledge.
- Good writing and presentation skills.
