Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Manager / Senior Manager / Assistant General Manager - Business Development.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the Contract Development and Manufacturing (CDMO) sector, specifically for fine and speciality chemicals, agrochemicals, and crop protection products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and generate new leads and potential clients within the speciality chemicals industry.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to ensure profitability and foster long-term partnerships.
- Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance) to provide technical and commercial support.
- Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitors, providing valuable market insights to the management team.
- Networking: Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences to promote services and establish networking opportunities.
- Reporting: Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management reviews.
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with Marketing teams to develop marketing campaigns, sales materials, and promotional activities.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all business interactions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in sales and business development within the CDMO sector for fine and speciality chemicals, agrochemicals, and crop protection products.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master's degree or preferably MSc in Agriculture/Chemistry or BE in Chemical Engineering.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the agrochemical and speciality chemicals industry.
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and negotiating contracts.
- Networking: Experience attending and representing at industry events and conferences.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to provide market insights and strategic recommendations
