Job Description for Retirement's Valuation Profile (LAM/Manager)

- The candidate will be responsible for executing projects in the Pensions Actuarial Space, provide clear and helpful actuarial advice and support to the clients on various engagements.

- The typical responsibilities of the candidate will include playing a proactive role within a multi-disciplinary team in supporting the various client engagements which may span across pension's team and actuarial liability calculation for US pension plans. Candidate is required to have extensive hands-on experience on Proval

1. Should have good knowledge of data handling in excel and Proval.

2. Know how to code expressions in the tool to modify the data in Proval.

3. Valuation of pension plans in US market.

4. Setting Asset-Funding Policies and Reconciling Income and Disbursements for DB plans

5. Conversion of pension plan in to Proval as per plan provisions (Must)

6. Coding the system as per scheme rules/benefits, for the current valuations and validating the system results by undertaking manual liability calculation

7. Prepare Funding updates (Asset Liability Modeling) involving carrying out roll forward and change of basis calculations to assess the position of the surplus/deficit

8. Performed variance analysis to explain actuarial gains/losses, due to plan and assumption changes.

9. Good knowledge of accounting and disclosure for report filling.

10. Know how to fill government filling (form 5500) for client.
