The job holder would be responsible for:
- Reporting to the Appointed Actuary
- Independently handle
a) All Actuarial analytic needs of the company to provide insights into root causes for experience trends and possible corrective actions
b) Make presentations to management about the findings and recommend corrective actions. Monitor process on the actions and ensure closure.
c) Set-up processes, data systems etc for regular analysis of experience. Prepare monthly and quarterly claim cost experience reports for management and Board
d) Perform need based analysis to analyze experience in a particular areas
e) Develop claim cost projections for planning and set-up framework for monitoring actual experience against plan
f) Closely work with Underwriting and claims teams to work on projects to analyze actual vs expected patterns on various key metrics
- Liaison with other functions for completing above responsibilities
- Coach, guide and train junior team members.
- Assist in other actuarial projects as and when required
- Loss ratio forecasting, taking inputs from Health Benefits Management and HRM teams. Agree on tracking mechanism for actual vs planned metrics, translating the actions / metrics to loss ratio impact
Qualification & Experience:
- Good progress with the actuarial exams taken
- Ability to demonstrate subject matter expertise
- More than 5 years in actuarial function of General/ Standalone Health Insurance Company
