The Sales Enablement Group (SEG) is part of the Investor Services (IS) Sales organisation, reporting to the IS Sales Executive. The group contributes to the IS sales result by the creation and production of sales collateral (proposals & presentations) and the design of sales collateral. In doing so, the group works in close partnership with subject matter experts from areas including sales, relationship management, client service, segment, product management, operations and pricing. The group is 43 people organised functionally across four teams - Proposals, Presentations, Design, & Knowledge Management; and geographically across five countries - United States, United Kingdom, India, Philippines, & Hong Kong. The group's core objective is to help the firm win business by building the best sales collateral, in the shortest amount of time, with the smallest time involved from Sales, Product and other subject matter experts.
General level of Responsibility/ Decision Making
The responsibility shall support sales activity by generating customized, compelling and persuasive Sales Proposals in response to RFPs for prospective and existing clients and work with other Proposal & Presentation team members and engage senior management, sales, client management & subject matter experts to collaborate in the writing and customizing of proposals. Utilize and contribute to a centrally managed database of component material. Develop an understanding of the proposed solution to complete projects. Incorporate bid strategy, organizational positioning & supporting messages and benefits into the proposals.
Typical Job Duties
Review and analyze RFP questions to determine key project requirements.
Generate initial draft using content database and other sources.
Solicit and coordinate timely input from relevant subject matter experts.
Interface with management and sales staff to ensure that responses meet client/prospect requirements and reflect sales strategy.
Ensure responsiveness to the client's/prospect's stated requirements.
Incorporate all information into a presentable, professional, and competitive proposal.
Coordinate with subject matter experts and content manager to update central knowledge base as responses are created, developed and enhanced.
Qualifications
Experience/ Background/ Key Competencies
MBA or a post graduate in business or finance with 6-9 years of experience with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Excellent business writing, organizational and project management skills are essential
Knowledge of financial services and securities industry required
Proposal or technical writing experience preferred
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
Experience using appropriate RFP content software preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills - ability to understand relevance of information, ability to synthesize and summarize information.
Problem solving skills.
Proven ability to deliver results in a timely manner.
Proactive, positive approach. Ability to grasp/ learn concepts quickly.
Strong partnership skills.
