SEO Manager

Position Title: SEO Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Head of Digital Marketing / Director of Marketing

Position Overview:

The SEO Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies that improve the company's organic search rankings and drive traffic to the company's website. This role involves managing a team of SEO specialists, collaborating with content creators and web developers, and analyzing the effectiveness of SEO efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive site traffic.

- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.


- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth.

On-Page and Off-Page Optimization:

- Optimize website content, meta tags, and keyword usage for search engines.

- Manage link-building campaigns to enhance domain authority and search engine visibility.

- Ensure the website structure and technical SEO aspects (e.g., site speed, mobile optimization) meet best practices.

Content Collaboration:

- Work closely with the content team to create high-quality, SEO-friendly content.

- Provide guidelines for content creation that align with SEO strategies.

Performance Analysis:

- Use SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to track and report on SEO performance.

- Analyze data to measure the success of SEO strategies and identify areas for improvement.

- Prepare regular performance reports for senior management.

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists and analysts.

- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide regular feedback.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Coordinate with web developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented on newly developed code.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the company to ensure alignment on SEO objectives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in SEO, with proven success in improving search engine rankings and website traffic.

- Strong understanding of SEO tools and software (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).

- Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools.

- In-depth knowledge of current SEO practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in e-commerce or a related industry.

- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Certification in Google Analytics or other SEO-related certifications.
