Sales Manager for Mumbai Telecom Sales
The Sales Engineer (SE) will be responsible for driving sales with existing and new clients and develop strategic planning activities across this client base to identify and position opportunities based on products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Serve as primary sales representative dealing directly with existing (cultivating) and potential new clients (hunting); develop and close new sales opportunities within these two client groups
- Regularly achieve designated quotas through prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities with assigned clients and prospects (Telcos, ISP's, MSO's, SI's and Distribution partners).
- Compliance with sales processes (e.g. Solution Selling) and methodology to effectively manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines and accurately forecast on a consistent basis. Prepare reports as needed and present it to relevant teams.
- Engages the client at a detailed relationship level to gain an understanding of the business issues and objectives driving the client's needs. To provide input to Product Development based on customer engagement.
- Identifies the Key contact person's and Decision makers to assist the solution selling as required by the customer's opportunity.
- Conduct strategic planning activities across existing & prospective client base; ensure the marketing activities are implemented which includes attending trade shows, conferences, events, making technical presentations and demonstrations
- Research and analyse market competition
- Maintain strong technical awareness on FTTX, Metro Ethernet, Layer-2 technologies and protocols for providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education and after-sales support services to existing and new Clientele
- Liaise with members of sales and technical teams to develop products and solutions
Desired Skills & Experience :
Key requirements :
- Minimum of a 4 year degree. Management or IT preferred.
- Demonstrated sales success in similar environments
- Demonstrated business and industry experience in the applicable technology domains
- Knowledge of and relationships with major industry partners is required.
- 6-10 years of outside Information Technology Sales Experience includes OEM
- Strong PC skills are required, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

- Ability to negotiate / influence most specially contract terms and agreements to meet both client and company needs.

- Strategic account planning: methods, coaching/methods, change management and deal creation.
- In depth knowledge of business drivers related to customer needs.
- Solid communications skills to interact with CXO level
- Should be able to work under constant pressure and deliver bottom line .
