Job Description: Sales Manager - Shipping and Logistics Freight Forwarding

Position Overview :

- The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the Shipping and Logistics Freight Forwarding industry.

- This position entails leading the sales team, crafting effective sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key clients.

- The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the freight forwarding market and extensive experience in sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and market share targets.

- Lead, manage, and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.

- Identify new business opportunities and foster long-term relationships with key accounts.

- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments to uncover growth opportunities.

- Establish and maintain effective collaboration with internal teams, including Operations, Finance, and Customer Service, to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives.

- Conduct regular sales meetings, workshops, and training sessions to equip the team with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform optimally.

- Deliver detailed sales reports, forecasts, and insights to the management team.

- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and build networks.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's / master's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- A minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience within the Shipping and Logistics Freight Forwarding industry.

- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing effective sales strategies that drive revenue growth.

- Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing sales teams.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities to assess market conditions and develop competitive solutions.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools to manage sales processes and reporting.
