Position/Title: Sales Manager - South India (Plastics)
Area: Regional Sales & Coordination responsibility
Reporting Line: Senior Sales Manager - South and West
Experience: 7 to 10 years
Objectives of the job:
- Marketing Of Products to the Indian Plastic/ Polymer
- Coordination with other team members various matters on Polymer sales.
- To identify and develop new business and market opportunities for products within your territory.
- Achieving targeted Sales growth.
- Monitoring and keeping customer recoveries under control.
Performance Measurement :
- % of achieving Sales volumes versus predefined sales targets for all assigned segments.
- % of new business generated versus existing sales.
Receivable Management :
- % of the collection of sales tax declaration forms on time.
- Timely submission of Sales & Marketing reports.
- Level of the customer relationship.
- (All above KPIs include Sales of all Products, including Distributed Products)
Responsibilities
Administrative:
- Reporting to ensure effective communication between you, Senior Sales Manager -South and West, Head of Sales - India and other Omya Management.
- Consolidation of market intelligence on the market.
- Self-starter in their daily strategy execution of an assigned job.
Commercial:
- Implement sales and marketing strategies as agreed with Senior Sales Manager-South and West, Head of Sales - India.
- Maintain regular contact with key customers.
- Regular prices assessment for Omya products to get the best price levels considering exchange rates and ocean freights in your Territory.
- Sales implementation of new product marketing initiatives in coordination with Senior Sales Manager - South and West.

Education / experiences /skills / competencies required :
- B.Sc.- Chemistry / BE -B.Tech Chemical/Graduate in Plastic Technology with good knowledge of Indian Chemical Industry
- Degree in Management will be added advantage but not compulsory.
- Sound understanding of commercial practices.
- Minimum 7-10 years relevant experience in National level company / MNC in sales / commercial management.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong and flexible communication skills in order to express ideas and issues to individuals from a broad range of cultural and professional backgrounds
- Ability to think commercially and strategically in order to understand the fundamental drivers of individual businesses
- Willingness to accept accountability.
- Highly motivated and results orientated person, perseverant, able to work with limited daily supervision.
- Team player, excellent interpersonal & communication skills and understanding of different cultures throughout Asia.
- Experience in Banking transactions and documentation will be an added skill.
- Special requirements (such as readiness to travel etc.)
- Ready to relocate any where in India
- Frequent travel within India and occasionally beyond
