About role
- It's a leadership role within Supply Chain team of India - person would be responsible for driving multiple initiatives in the area of supply chain planning for existing and new businesses, strategic supply chain projects, processes and system improvements.
- Role would also encompass responsibility related to Forecasting, Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory management and Storage capacity planning
- Role would play a key role in managing customer & supplier experience from supply chain perspective by managing variability, planning resources, clear communication and analytics
- Role would assist leadership team in developing long-term function (supply chain) strategies and significantly influences the cross-functional project development and delivery processes/standards.
- It's pivotal role and person would be required to manage multiple stakeholders across the organization - category teams, finance, fulfilment centers, transportation, seller teams etc.
- Role will require managing various high impact technology led supply chain initiatives
- Role will also require to interact with multiple stakeholders based in other geographies (North America, Europe etc)
- Will have direct people management responsibilities, Mentoring individuals for overall performance and effectiveness in specific situations
The Basics :
- At least 6 years of experience in a top tier company driving programs or projects
- If you have a MBA from a top tier institute (IIM A/B/C/L, NITIE/JBIMS/ISB/SPJMR/XLRI/Symbiosis), 6 years of experience is a minimum
- Supply Chain background preferable but not mandatory.
- Exposure to supply chain system & tools, proficiency in SQL/Microsoft Excel and basic programming skills is preferred.

- Should be able to manage cross-functional project teams, plan and organize, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes.
- Should be able to deal with a high degree of ambiguity
- Should be able to find practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality. Should be able to take a complex problem and break it down to smaller digestible chunks
- Should be able to define projects, collect requirements, design processes and system solutions, write detailed functional specifications, coordinate efforts to scope, schedule as well as analyze cost/benefit of options/solutions and communicate results throughout the organization
- Should be very analytical and be able to justify decisions by using data & facts
- Should have the ability to influence even without authority by using appropriate data/analysis or information
Mandatory Skills :
1) 6+ Years Exp in Supply Chain
2) People Management Exp is Must
3) Industry Preferred - Retail, Consumer Products, Telecom, Big 4 etc
