Job Title : Manager Marketing & Sales Thermal Power Generation
Knowledge, Skills and Experience :
- BE Electronics / Instrumentation 12+ yrs experience in Power generation
- At least 8 years of experience in sales & marketing
Review and follow-up : Conduct regular reviews with FES team leads / Branch to track progress in order intake, pursuit list, business development activity, collection plan of the month. And support team leads in budget allocation of their respective area.
Main Accountabilities :
Budget Planning : Provide market analysis data / inputs to the BU manager for order forecast and budget. Decide on the targets / KPI of the LBU / regions. Ensuring achievement of budgeted order intake and focusing on new turnkey projects.
Order booking : Ensure the achievement of order intake target of the LBU in line with the defined budget.
Business development : Analyze and identify new market/potential customers/ Segments/trends/technologies to develop strategy to increase sales in Power generation segments in coordination with LBU Sales Manager. Monitor expansion plan of key accounts and propose Power generation solutions to retain them. Participate in customer meetings and make presentation to customers on technical offerings of ABB.
Growth : Identify opportunities and take timely actions to ensure growth in line with division and country targets.
Market Intelligence : Ensure continuous monitoring of competitors offerings and market potential / requirements to develop and update the existing technology/process/solutions. Identify gap of new technologies in the market and communicate the same with BU management and PRU's.
Bids & Proposal : Understand customer requirements and ensure preparation of techno-commercial offers together with bids & proposal team. Conduct techno-commercial discussion with the customers on proposed technical offers in consultation with BU manager. Responsible for costing, and payment terms conditions of the technical offers.
Product Promotion : Participate in seminars / exhibitions for product promotion activities.
Technical support : Ensure Presales and Post-sales support to sales function as per the customer requirements and support service team to ensure resolving all critical issues with customers. Interact with customers if required to close the open points. Participate in Risk review and Support the project team in risk mitigation and claim management. Provide training to FES engineers (both technical and Commercial).

People management : Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
