Job Summary:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding existing customer accounts, and promoting our freight forwarding services. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the logistics and shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development: Identify and target new business opportunities in the freight forwarding and logistics sector.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and customer demands to develop effective sales strategies.
Negotiation & Proposal Creation: Lead the negotiation of contracts and pricing, creating competitive proposals that meet both customer requirements and company profitability goals.
Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs as outlined by the Sales Manager.
Coordination with Operations: Work closely with the operations and logistics team to ensure seamless execution of services promised to clients.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions through CRM software.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding services, including air, sea, and road transport.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Ability to understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
