The candidate selected for this role will provide deep domain skills to help clients with strategy and business planning to improve: sales strategy and sales operations, channel strategy and design, channel partner management, sales force effectiveness, sales processes, sales compensation & reward and sales operations optimization.
Responsibilities include :
- Project Delivery: Work with small to medium-size teams to deliver projects for global clients. Responsibilities may include development and implementation of:
- Route to Market Strategy
- Portfolio and Product launch strategy
- Channel mix assessment and strategy
- Trade Spend Optimization
- Sales Channel optimization
- Pricing Optimization
- Incentive Compensation Management
- Channel Incentive Management
- Sales Performance Analytics
- Business Development: Support efforts of global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities within the practice
- Domain Development: Develop assets and methodologies, develop of points-of-view, research or white papers, support development of marketing collateral, conduct public speaking and publish in industry periodicals
Experience :
Specific experience will include :
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive industry experience in the FMCG sector post MBA
- Experience creating and implementing sales and marketing strategies towards driving volumes and attaining higher profitability.
- Leading a zone/team of sales managers
- Leading a trade marketing category
- Consulting or functional experience in Strategy and Business Planning for CPG practice is desirable, with focus on:
- Product and market entry strategy
- Sales strategy and operations
- Marketing strategy
- Sales compensation strategy and process (for both employees and channel
- Sales model design
- Sales force effectiveness
- Channel strategy and effectiveness
- Partner relationship management
- Experience creating / revamping sales models in response to market requirements.
- Defining and Managing sales forecasts, experience tracking and communicating progress against the annual operating plan
- Experience managing Sales in a multi-channel / multi product / multi location set up
- Experience working on a large-scale Business / Operational Transformation project desirable
- Experience managing an online sales channel is desirable
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Strong program management skills
- Advanced user of excel, including macros.
- Experience working with - C- level executive clients is desirable

- Possesses excellent communication (written and oral) skills and excellent presentation skills
- Experience working at the highest levels of client organizations and interacting closely with the - C- level executives in a range of environments
- Comfortable functioning in a broadly positioned and highly diverse consulting firm

- Possesses and demonstrates high integrity and credibility as perceived by all those with whom s/he will work
- Strong intellect coupled with proficient commercial instincts
