Processing Payroll:
- Ensure all employees receive their pay accurately and on time.
- Collect and verify timesheets.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Issue paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
Performance Management:
- Understand business needs and strategy of the organization to incorporate the performance philosophy.
- Lead the performance management agenda.
- Design annual performance development review and rewards program and policies, including governance and metrics design.
- Liaise with Plant HR to ensure the Performance Management System (PMS) is managed within stipulated timelines.
Manpower Planning:
- Optimize manpower.
- Play an active role in wage cost optimization.
Maintaining Records:
- Keep up-to-date records of payroll transactions and employee information (HRIS) for auditing purposes and compliance with state laws.
- Manage the entire employee life cycle from hire to retire.
Data Analytics:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual MIS.
- Prepare HR budgets and monitor cost variance.
- Review overtime hours.
HR Automation:
- Use software to digitize and automate repetitive and time-consuming HR tasks (from pre-onboarding to exit).
Reporting:
- Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes, including reports on gross payroll, hours worked, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.
Compliance:
- Stay current with payroll tax changes and labor laws to ensure compliance.
Benefits Administration:
- Manage the distribution of benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits.
Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues or queries related to payroll.
New Initiatives:
- Play an active role in grade rationalization, organization design, job analysis, and job evaluation.
- Design the performance incentives program for senior leadership roles.
- Maintain employee productivity.
