Manager R&D Manufacturing

Responsibilities :

- Guide the team in the area of Hardware design &Development, OS, Communication Protocols & Control Strategy for all the Electronics projects.

- Collaborate with cross domain and interface with the requirements in the electronics product development.

- Guide the team in the development of software and firmware source code in C/C++, Embedded C, other languages and common communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, USB, UART, etc.

- Ensure the team complies with the engineering requirements that are required for the design and development through capture of requirements from Customer Requirements management, requirements gathering, requirements analysis.

- Compare with available platform solutions, deviation list, list new development requirements.

- Carry out the daily review management of the tasks and ensure compliance including but limited the resource management.

- Ensure the project compliance in alignment with the department milestones / goals adhering to approved budgets.

- Guide the team in the benchmarking activities and generation of ideas / innovative concepts to improve the product performance, quality, cost, weight etc.

- Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and assist in developing road maps.

- Ensure compliance to the design and development - circuit simulation, debugging, design review, engineering management (document control), firmware development, performance analysis, programming, prototyping, Software development, software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing, embedded system design, technical specification design.

- Ensure Failure Mode Effect Analysis is carried out by the team and actions are taken to reduce the Risk Priority Number.

- Estimate efforts and time for the various tasks of the projects.

- Establish contacts with various designs out-sourcing agencies for addressing the resource management, provide support in the sourcing and procurement of electronic components for timely completion of the project.

- Ensure effective utilization of the resources.

- Ensure modular design is carried out, re-use of design.

- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards.

- Ensure development is complying to diagnostics standards / as required by the Customer.

- Ensure the usage of problem solving techniques as required.

- Prepare product and project presentations.

- To be an effective team player, promotes and champions the change requirements.

- Ensure product development in alignment with the time-lines, be pro-active in anticipating changes and ready with alternate options for timely completion.

- Improve the competency of the existing resources to the changing requirements for execution of the job.
