Position : R&D Manager

Location : Gurgaon (Landmark Haldiram, near manesar toll plaza)

Experience Required : 10 to 15 Years

Qualification : M.E / B.E - echanical (from a reputed Institution)

Core Competencies :

Should have good knowledge of :

- Different materials such as steels, plastics, rubber etc.

- Different Manufacturing Processes.

- Mechanically operated mechanisms using hydraulic, pneumatic, motorized Applications etc.

- A previous experience in Engineering or Auto industry

- Good knowledge of important IT tools for product development, such as CAD and FEA

- Extensive knowledge of mechanics of materials and material properties

- Languages - Fluency in English

Job Description :

- Lead key projects with R&D to support business goals.

- Is end-to-end responsible for research & development of engineering tools

- To suggest innovative methods to improve existing product performances

- Develop concepts, products and solutions by coordinating with marketing team.

- Document all phases of research and development.

- Manage customer relationships and perform RFP Review, Customer Visits and Product Testing

- Investigate new technologies and adopt best industry practices

- To assure competitiveness and innovation of products and processes from a technological and design standpoint

- To apply all relevant international regulations/norms/standards

- To incorporate relevant design expertise and experience in projects in line with product strategy

- Encouraging creativity in R&D teams

- To search for best-in-class technologies among competitors and develops innovation road-map

- To add 3 market-value patents per year

- Co-ordination with design team to ensure brand-consistent design of product ranges

- Facilitates problem solving techniques to overcome complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative

Interpersonal Skills :

- Strong leadership qualities and ownership

- Capability in managing people

- Capability to promote team-working and collaboration among the different functions

- Problem solving & Decision making skills

- A real market-orientation in defining the new projects to launch and a proven attitude in working strictly in relation with design, marketing and product management

- Out-of-the box thinking and encouragement of driving for creative, marketable solutions is a must
