Manager - Reconciliations - Hedge Funds - BFS

Job summary

- Overall management and ownership of HFS Chennai reconciliation operations for APAC

- Responsible for all client issues/concerns resolutions in the agreed timelines - senior level escalation point.

- Ensure good level of communication network is established will all the HFS APAC Teams

- Ensure all the documentation is in place w.r.t Risk mitigation and Control. Responsible for successful completion of all internal and external audits.

- Floor management with complete compliance to company's policies and procedures.

- Team management with back up and succession planning for immediate and 2 level down staff.

- Ensure Key Performance Indicators for the processes are achieved on a regular basis.

- Ownership of all Key/Standard Operating Procedures for each process migrated to Chennai Hub and that all the KOP/SOP are got approved and signed between the locations

- Collating the data from all the applications and providing valuable inputs to Senior Management.

Knowledge and skills required

Required:

- Demonstrate substantial financial market understanding to be credible at identifying operational problems and provide training to the team

- Hedge Funds or complex Mutual Fund industry experience

- Excellent management skills, including ability to implement changes

- Experience of managing a team of + 8 people

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills

- Ability to be self-motivated and to lead a team of professionals

Key selection criteria:

- Relevant experience in the Hedge Funds and or complex Mutual Funds (25%)

- Proven understanding of financial market (20%)

- Relevant experience in operations management and change manager (25%)

- Proven ability to learn (10%)

- Leadership & communication skills (10%)

- Availability (10%)
