JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title : Manager-Quality Assurance (The person would lead the QA for the organisation )
Level : Manager
Reporting to : Director SCM
Direct reports : 2
Location : Gurgaon, RSC
Qualifications & Work Experience :
Min Graduate or Post-Graduate in Food technology/Dairy technology/Microbiology/Bio-technology or equivalent with relevant work experience in Food Industry in the areas of quality assurance, regulatory, suppliers or third-party operations, food retail or distribution. Preferably having worked in food FMCG/QSR sector for min 8-12 years & having 4-5 years of managerial experience as a part of overall work experience.
Job Summary :
Responsible to ensure robust quality via managing supplier performance as per companies food safety policy & standards, regulatory compliance and safe food operations at our restaurants at all the times!
Job Role & Responsibilities :
A. Supplier Performance Management :
- Ensure supplier classification as per companies risk matrix
- Conduct audits for suppliers, as required
- Responsible for new supplier approvals
- Manage external/third party audits for assigned suppliers and TP calibration standards
- Maintain and report supplier food safety performance metrics
- Follow through suppliers/product complaints to closure
- Coach/ mentor suppliers for continual improvement in their audit scores/ performance
- Maintain Star Net/ True View database
- Product specifications review and approvals
- Participate in product commercialization trials/ visits
B. Distribution Centers QA :
- Conduct distribution center audits, as required
- Drive for corrective actions closures
- Initiate and close product recalls in respective markets, as required
C. Restaurant Food Safety :
- Participate in Third party ROCC auditor's calibration process
- Impart food safety training in respective market store teams
- Coordinate with franchisees QA for FSO inspections, as the case may be
- Coordinate with laboratories for product testing/validations along with franchisee QA
- Coach store teams for pest control procedures/programs as per companies standards
D. Regulatory Compliance :
- Participate in regulatory forums, as required
- Keep track of emerging regulations, could potentially impact companies products, suppliers or store operations etc
- Review and approval of product labels
E. Franchisees Engagement :
- Closely work with franchisee QA teams to ensure compliance to Quality polices and standards to deliver business results
- Coaching & mentoring to franchisee QA teams
