Job Description - Manager Purchase
1. Responsible for buying Secondary and Tertiary Packaging material , in a timely and cost effective way; timely manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
2. Handle rejections/complaints and discuss with users, vendors and cross functional teams to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.
3. Track Purchasing activity and measurements.
4. Maintaining and circulating monthly MIS for management review.
5. Continuously work on cost improvement projects by way of alternate vendor / material development.
6. Issue purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
7. Compliance to procurement strategy and policies and continuous improvement.
8. Liaise with Accounts Payable Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier.
9. Identify and develop training opportunities for team.
