Manager - Public Relations & Communications - Law Firm

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Responsible for furthering the firm's exposure by utilizing outside media as well as developing and implementing solid PR strategies

- Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of print promotional and communication materials for the practice.

- Oversees the execution of digital strategy.

- Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the practice.

- Plans, prepares, and distributes original promotional content such as articles, news and press releases, email, blog and social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the practice.

- Promotes/attends special events and functions; promotes and reports on corporate milestones and activities such as goals and projects; community service activities;

- Arranges for photography and/or press coverage for special events.

- Overseeing press releases and managing outside PR relationships

- Assist advocates in placement of articles in applicable trade publications

- Oversee firm's internal/external communications practices

- Develop and maintain positive relations with media members and organizations

- Monitor placement of articles, etc. in media

- Drafting communications materials for external and internal audiences

- Proactively identifies opportunities for the firm to earn positive media coverage by developing original story/pitch ideas and actively participating in pitching and securing media opportunities

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Brand strategy, project management, digital marketing, event management and market researching skills

Requirements:

- Minimum of a degree in marketing, advertisement and/or related fields

- 5-7 years experience

- Experience of working with law firms and public relations will be advantageous
