Designation : Manager Proprietary Sales / Trader(Delhi)
Reporting To : Chief - Financial Segment
Job Purpose :
- Revenue generation by promoting trade on the company's platform by the prop. trades.
- Bringing on board new members for proprietary trade
- Increase business from existing prop. Trading members
Key Accountabilities :
Strategic :
- Co-create, execute and monitor the sales strategy for the proprietary sales.
- Identifying new accounts (Proprietary Firms) to participate on the company's platform and promote increased trading from these accounts both through manual as well as Algo.
- Promote revenue generation from existing members in the prop trading through schemes, campaigns, education and awareness, relevant information, etc
- Identify segments of prop traders, jobbers and arbitragers to target through skill enhancement program
- Create a plan to engage directly or indirectly with traders\jobbers\arbitragers
- Explore innovative avenues to increase participation of traders\jobbers\arbitragers on the exchange
- To establish and enhance prop cash and carry business between forwards and futures on exchange.
Operational :
- Understand the levers/ drivers of trade within the traders\jobbers\arbitragers and provide feedback to the Exchange on the same
- Co-design motivational schemes/programs/seminars/awards for traders\jobbers\arbitragers along with the marketing team for the assigned institutions
- Work with the Marketing team to create campaigns to build awareness and interest of the traders\jobbers\arbitragers players.
- Actively coordinate other BD team members doing prop sales to share ideas and coordinate with members having prop desk at multiple locations.
- Act as an extension of the quant and Algo team to disseminate various actionable trading strategies to members.
- Work closely with product teams to disseminate various market updates to members.
- Identifying cross selling opportunities between Proprietary sales and Business development teams across members doing both prop and client businesses.
Experience :
- 3-5 years experience in sales and prop trading with high sales orientation
- Previous experience in prop trading desks of brokerage firm /financial institution engaged in Commodities Trading/other financial instruments

- Influencing key stakeholders and negotiating win-win solutions
- Knowledge of broking firms/commodities trading
- Trading experience in broking firms
