We are currently looking to close a Manager Projects position with the topmost FMCG MNC in India. The position is to be based in Kolkata.

Job Details -
- Responsible for making the CAPEX plan for the business for the year in the areas of productivity improvement, quality improvement, capacity enhancement, debottlenecking, routine replacement and energy/water conservation & Renewable energy.
- Responsible for successful implementation of the project for the business across factories by effective coordination between factory project leads well with in time and cost to meet the stated objectives of the project
- Responsible for creating Monthly dash board for the business for the Engg related metrices by coordinating with all 3 factories and contract manufacturing team
Principal Accountabilities -
1. Ensure capex planner is made every year well before time line
2. Ensure that the approved capex plan is implemented by effective coordination with fty project leads
3. Negotiate with vendors to get the value for money for all the projects
4. Ensure that the stated objectives of the capex projects are met and the Equipments are put to use by the committed date with in cost with expected quality level
5. Ensure that EHS guidelines are adhered to while implementing the project
6. Bring in competitive and Qualified vendors as alternates to explore new solution at best cost
7. Review project progress in a periodic manner and report progress on a monthly basis
8. Track factory manufacturing indices and create dash board data on a monthly basis and analyse for Key variance if any and give commentary for the same
9. Coordinate for Asset transfer between Factory and OCMs as per the need of the business
10. Coordinate with Project team who deals with large projects and support them for various packages to identify and finalise vendors
Operating Network
11. Internal -Project leads of own factories , Utility managers FMs of own factories, finance team of HO and own factories
12. External -Vendors , consultants
Role Requirements
B.Tech from a premier institute (IITs) with 2-3 years of experience in projects or from a next rung institute (RECs) preferably with 4 to 5 years of experience in maintenance or projects or from next rung of premier engg institutions with 8 to 9 of years experience in maintenance & projects
Preference would be given to Mechanical or Electrical Engg candidates
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic Knowledge of mechanical engineering or electrical engineering & process engineering.
- Basic knowledge on Utilities like- Boilers, Chillers, Compressors, Blowers , Material handling Equipments like BOPTs, HOPTs, HRTs, Stackers,Lifts.
- Basic knowledge of Soap and CLS (crema lotion shampoo) related machinery will be an added advantage
- Knowledge on basic safety of machineries and guarding/interlocking of machineries
- Experience of at least 2 years in project management
Knowledge of best practices relevant to work responsibility
- Analytical & troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge of factory indices like specific power consumption, specific water consumption etc
- Basic knowledge on relevant codes wrt civil, electrical , fire and mechanical to execute project at factories
Salary : Around Rs.25.0-30.0 LPA
