Manager - Program Management - Leadership Role - IT

We are the team that manages rapidly growing third party (3P) skills catalog for Alexa across all devices. If you are excited by technology and working in a fast paced challenging environment drives you, we would love to have you as part of the Amazon Alexa Skills Certification team. The team drives the entire ingestion and certification process for Alexa skills, which involves the entire life cycle from the time a developer submits a skill to the time it is put up on the store, and ensuring the high quality experience for Alexa customers even after that.

As Senior Program Manager, you'll own end-to-end project delivery on the quality, schedule and effort vectors and coordinating across multiple cross functional teams to make things happen. You'll guide the Content Operations team from the ground up, ultimately launching awesome new experiences for customers. You'll deliver results when faced with ambiguous circumstances and roadblocks. Your judgment and intuition are right, a lot, and you know when to ask the right questions. You may lead a team of program managers who would be handling multiple projects on their own.

Basic Qualifications:

- 6+ years of total work experience, out of which 5+ in program management managing complex projects with aggressive schedules, across ambiguous landscapes and scarce resources

- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree (MBA preferred)

- Excellent document writing and verbal communication skills

- A passion for technology, digital content, and the mobile/voice market segment

- Effectively manage cross functional projects working through dependencies and bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business need versus technical constraints and minimize business benefit while building great customer experience

- Adept at stakeholder management, setting and managing expectations, risks & mitigations

- Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering the quality bar

- Track record of being detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to self- motivate and follow through on projects

Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals - We're looking for a hustler who will go out there and make things happen

- Ability to understand and handle rapidly evolving business challenges and complexities (without getting too overwhelmed) and be able to focus on the projects at hand

- A first hand working knowledge of current content technologies - apps, games, voice-based content/skills

- Experience in launching products internationally while working with remote teams
