Manager - Production - Manufacturing

- In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our production operations.

- You will be responsible for leading our production team, ensuring efficient output, maintaining the highest quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations Management:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to achieve timely and efficient output.

- Monitor production schedules, make adjustments as needed to meet demand, and troubleshoot any production issues.

- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment.

Quality Control & Assurance:

- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures throughout the production process.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure products meet all quality standards and specifications.

- Identify and address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Provide effective leadership and motivation to your production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

- Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and develop your team's skills.

- Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet production demands.

Safety & Compliance:

- Champion a culture of safety and enforce all established safety protocols on the production floor.

- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.

- Report and investigate any safety incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Process Improvement:

- Continuously identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

- Drive initiatives to reduce waste, optimize resource utilization, and maximize production output.

- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations.

Reporting & Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and comprehensive production records and reports.

- Analyze production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.

- Prepare and present regular production reports to management, keeping them informed of key metrics and performance indicators.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar industry.

- Proven track record of successfully managing production operations and achieving performance goals.

- Strong understanding of quality control principles and implementation of effective quality management systems.

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop production teams.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and production planning software (a plus).

- Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safety regulations.
