Salary: USD 55,000 to 60,000

Duties and Responsibilities

- Develops formulas, processes, techniques, and methods to support textile service activities in interdivisional cooperation for the use of our client's textile auxiliary and pretreatment chemicals to improve the efficiency of their use

- Ensure to develop products in a low-cost effective manner as well as develop new textile chemicals & Dyes Chemical (that are required for Fabric scouring, bleaching, washing, fixing, softening, finishing, washing & dyeing chemicals, etc.)

- Generate ideas for new Chemical and dyestuff products including mixtures with the potential for profitable business e.g. filling gaps in existing ranges, meeting new fastness or eco requirements, responding to new competition, dyes and chemical auxiliary for pretreatment

- Ensure that all internal R & D systems and practices are in alignment with the Company strategy

- Supervise the testing and carry out the evaluation of coloristic and application-technological properties of new products in the framework of the product development process with the given project and research targets

- Test raw material & finished product according to specification by following GTM (General Test method) & PTM (Performance Test Method)

- Coordination of the product development activities in the field of application technology for textile auxiliary and pretreatment chemicals.

- Provision of target specifications and product profiles for the development of new relevant product ranges and/or spheres of activity in coordination with the sister departments Technology, Marketing, and Sales

- Arrangement and evaluation of technical testing during the development process of the respective product line

- Compile material for finding a "go/stop" decision during the product development process

- Documentation of application, coloristic, and performance results in test reports and electronic database and information exchange and reporting of test products in filter and project discussions/meeting

- Execute activities of Lab in the process of new product development, prepare MSDS and Process Sheets, Job Sheets with internal coding of Raw material

- Deliver allocated development of new products on time, in-budget, and to-specification

- Development and maintenance of test and evaluation methods for the application -technological evaluation of test products

- Preparation, monitoring, and evaluation of customer trials with new products in the framework of product development processes

- Observation and evaluation of competition developments

Requirements and Qualifications

- Completed academic studies as a Chemical or Textile engineer / Master of Science in Chemistry or textile chemical with professional experience

- Profound knowledge base and expertise in the application of textile auxiliaries/chemicals

- Ability to translate customer requirements, ideas, and proposals into application technology concepts and creativity to design and invent problem solutions

- Consciousness for safety, quality, and cost matters

- Ability and attendance to cooperate in teams

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
