Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager - Product Development is a pivotal role that works directly with the.

Managing Director to drive and support all product development efforts.

This mid-level management position is responsible for researching, conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative electrical switch products.

The role involves managing projects from ideation through prototyping and testing, ensuring products meet market demands and technical standards, while working collaboratively with engineering, production, quality control, and sales teams.

Job Responsibilities:

- Product Research & Ideation:

- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging. trends, customer needs, and new product opportunities within the electrical switches industry.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate innovative product concepts and design enhancements.

- Product Design & Development:

- Assist in defining technical specifications and developing initial product designs for new electrical switch products.

- Work closely with the engineering team to create prototypes and refine product designs.

Testing & Validation:

- Coordinate with the quality control department to establish and oversee testing protocols tailored for electrical switches.

- Ensure all prototypes and products undergo rigorous testing and validation to meet technical specifications and industry safety standards.

- Project Management:

- Manage product development projects from ideation through to launch, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.

- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Liaise with manufacturing teams to ensure a seamless transition from product design to production.

- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure product features align with market demands and customer expectations.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for product development processes, test results, and project milestones.

- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the Managing Director and senior leadership on project status and outcomes.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of product development processes specifically within the electrical switches industry.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and work directly with senior leadership.

- Excellent technical understanding of electrical switch design, prototyping, testing, and validation.

- In-depth familiarity with the properties and applications of polycarbonate materials in manufacturing.

- Proficiency in using CAD and other design tools is an advantage.

- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various departments.

Candidate Profile:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

- Experience: 5 - 8 years in product development or R&D roles within the electrical switches or related electrical manufacturing industries.

- Additional Requirements:.

- Proven experience working directly with senior management on product development initiatives.

- A successful track record of bringing innovative electrical switch products to market is mandatory.
