Position- Procurement Manager
Location- Genei Peenya facility (Providing service to Peenya and BBC facility)
Brief Job description: The Procurement Manager, Diagnostic & Laboratory Supplies will be responsible for the overall management of procurement requisitions of the facilities, including tendering and GEM portal. He/she will ensure Sourcing and Procurement of Raw and Packaging Material, Projects and Capex , Lab Equipment and Chemicals, R&D requirements, Consumables and Engineering. Oversee Services such as Annual Maintenance and Concurrence Management Contracts and agreements including third party operations and supplies.
- He/she will work with the demand and fulfilment planning marketing and logistics team in the preparation of the Procurement and Inventory Plans.
- Working with the team he/she will ensure that delivery dates and service levels are met. He/She will manage the stock volumes as determined in the Inventory Plan and shelf-life. In close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Head, ensures that orders and required service levels are established.
- Manage relationships with major suppliers for timely procurement of quality assured products for trading and internal consumption in line with the framed agreements.
- Responsible for Vendor development, Vendor Audit, and Ongoing Vendor Management, meeting Quality and other regulatory requirement.
- Support R&D / Marketing on New product Developments in terms of existing / new material.
- Ensure minimum stock and optimization of stock levels as agreed upon in the Inventory.
- Market intelligence on material pricing, movement and trends in line with the competitors and competitive and Industry benchmarking
- Preparation and regular maintenance of pricing, delivery and other service-related responsibilities.
- Communicate changes in the catalogue: new vendors, new prices, new packaging and new handling instructions.
- Manage client orders, with the Logistics team to utilise the existing stocks and continue to obtain best price to meet the client and sales requirements. Proactively Manage Risk, hedging exchange risks as appropriate through timing purchases and contracts
- Handle recalls, complaints and other potential issues in line with the companies Quality Policy
- Ensure an efficient, compliant and effective procurement in line with the procurement policies, quality standards and standard operating procedures and ensure purchasing documentation is kept upto date, including at the time of Regulatory and Customer Audits.
- Ensure the procurement data in the Tally is maintained and updated.
- Assist the freight forwarding teams to expedite fulfilment of emergency orders.
- Ensure documents and information are provided for customs clearance.
- Work closely with Finance, deploy resources efficiently, managing cash flow and seasonality of procurement.
- Responsible for enlisting vendors, dealers and traders to purchase excess material generated in Operations from time to time.
Qualifications:
1. Higher degree in economics or business management with five to ten years in supply chain management.
2. A proven record in procurement with strong knowledge and experience of the challenges involved in providing an effective service.
3. Microsoft Office, MIS, Tally, SAP, including databases, spreadsheets and presentations; and ability to learn new software packages.
4. In Depth knowledge of warehouse management
5. Knowledge of Contracts, taxation, imports exports, bid process, GEM portal and Tenders.
