Procurement Operations Manager
Objectives of Role :
Purpose of the Position : Monitor and control the daily functioning of multiple teams in High End sourcing & procurement processes in compliance with the SLAs as part of smooth running of operations. Has Scope of handling 4/5 Team Leaders & Asst Managers with total Span of 40-50 FTE.
Main Accountabilities :
- Monitor High End multiple sourcing & procurement processes on daily basis and take corrective action as and when required.
- Lead the Sourcing & Procurement Operations (Tactical Buy, Contracting, Transaction Processing, Vendor Management & Catalog Management functions) for the customer. The processes though consolidated at one location supports the customers across the globe.
- Proactively implements control measures. Maintain relations with client contact and ensure their needs are met in a timely manner.
- Encourage, plan and executive process improvement initiatives and best practices which can be shared with other teams.
- Lead operation leaders and provide cross functional support. Coach and mentor operation leaders so that they are able to manage their teams better.
- Assess performance of Team leaders on an ongoing basis to identify gaps with the operation leads and develop operation leaders so that they are able to take up larger responsibilities.
- Identify and resolve people and process related issues. Deal with internal and external Attrition and their operational affects.
- The role requires highly effective resource management techniques to ensure quality and productivity standards are maintained while coping with staff turnover and inexperienced staff.
- To lead and motivate staff with widely differing aspirations working in productivity based environment where deadlines are critical.
- Ensure purchases for required goods or services are made by recommending and/or complying to Approved, appropriate supplier/s, costs, processes, etc.
- Developing the Customer's internal change strategy
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. MBA highly desirable.
- 12 years of total experience with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the Sourcing & Procurement domain.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven competency in managing and redlining contracts during negotiations process.
- Experience on Transaction Processing, Vendor Creation & Maintenance, Catalog Management activities.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Knowledge of purchasing operations and principles (Transaction Processing, Vendor Creation & Management,, Catalogs, etc.)
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Strong skill in use of Microsoft Office
- Strong negotiator with related subject matter expertise in related legal terms and conditions
- Strong presentation skills with ability to support the building of a business case
- Strong ability to translate stakeholder requirements into sourcing practices and business outcomes.
