Haldyn Glass Limited (HGL) incorporated in 1991, in the state of Gujarat, India. Haldyn Corporation Limited is a closely held company engaged in manufacture of Soda Lime Flint & Amber Glass containers since 1964.

Our current set of domestic customers include United Spirits Ltd., Pernod Ricard, Bajaj Sevashram, etc. We currently export approx 10 to 12 pc of our capacity to East Africa and Middle East.

We have recently diversified into manufacture of cosmetic and perfume bottles mainly for the export market through a 50:50 Joint venture with Heinz Glass of Germany, one of the the worlds leading players in manufacture of cosmetics and perfume bottles.

Role Objective :

Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.

Responsible for the entire planning process, including procurement, inventory control, distribution and logistics

The Manager Procurement will be reporting to the VP supply chain

Key Responsibilities:

Budget & Planning- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.

Control purchasing department budgets.

Vendor Development - Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.

Develop and implement vendor appraisal system.

The individual should have had exposure to :

Networking and building business relationships with people outside the organization, representing the organization to the suppliers/vendors/service providers through phone, in writing or in person

Developing, designing, creating new applications, ideas, systems or products for inventory management.

Coach and train subordinates to improve performance and motivate them to take on challenging tar

Threshold Qualification

BE- Mech / Elect / Any Graduate with Dip / PG in Materials Management / Supply Chain Mgmt.

Exp : 6-7 years years in manufacturing, out of which at least 3 years of exp in a managerial position in Purchase / Procurement

Experience in procurement of Capital Goods, Engg Spares, Glass Moulds etc.

Environmental Job Requirement and Working Conditions

This position requires extensive travel weekly, once in two weeks to plant, vendors, gujrat

Ability to take pressure
