- Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate, and implement long-term goals for the procurement department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
- Creation and improvement of best-practice based processes for procurement and inventory management
- Establish departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
- Management of procurement and inventory software systems and tools
- Timely execution of purchase orders to vendors, liason with lab operations team to implement purchase activities efficiently and in timely manner without affecting operations.
- Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
- Reduce overall cost of ownership and manage materials savings initiatives in line with profit plan and overall business objectives.
- Development of benchmarks, metrices and dashboards to be used for monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Develop an overall vendor base with "ABC" classification of vendors and identification of alternative vendors.
- Oversee and Conduct, as required, vendor evaluations, price negotiations and negotiations of delivery schedules and other terms and conditions.
- Manage key vendor relationships by conducting regularly scheduled strategic supplier review meetings and proactively engage with them to improve value delivered from key vendors.
- Oversee contract development and administration
- Process purchase orders; develops bids and proposals; and reconcile any invoice discrepancies.
- Liaise with the logistics team as required to manage and oversee customs clearance agents and CHAs an
ensure timely clearance of imported raw materials.
- Monitoring of contractual milestones and renewals and ensuring timely vendor payments by liaising with the finance team(s)
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory levels and inventory control procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Ensure timely stock replacement for smooth operations.
- Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
- Managing the skills and competency development of the procurement team, including knowledge management capabilities and recruitment and training of new employees as required
- Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for both the procurement team and organization as a whole.
Skillset required:
- Any Bachelor's/Master's Degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3+ years' experience as a manager or above in the procurement function.
- Candidates from Healthcare industry will be preferred.
