The candidate should have a good understanding of the core banking market, and closely coupled Digital offerings
- Should be able to talk about leading product vendors, their relative strengths/weaknesses & market position, what SIs are doing, and a view on where the market is moving to
- Should be able to understand and articulate product suites from at least two of three core banking product vendors - Finastra/Temenos/Oracle (preferably the first two)
- Should have a good appreciation of the business (retail, corporate), related operations, interplay with surround systems, and how a bank would view their transformation
- Plus if he/she has worked on products like Trade Innovation and GPP
- Should have handled a Pre-Sales role for a minimum period of 5 years - for e.g. the person could have earlier been in sales/delivery and then subsequently moved into a Pre-Sales role
- Should have preferably handled multiple geographies in the past
