A top tier one law firm is looking to hire a Practice Operations Manager with 8 years of experience for their Mumbai office.
Job Description:
Commercial Excellence:
A) Commercial Excellence: Ensuring system hygiene and timely raising of proformas, converting them into invoices and then ensuring recovery. Working with the partners and associates of the practice to ensure timely delivery. Role will involve downloading reports, structuring them in an easy-to-understand way and sharing them with the partners. Once the reports are shared, to get matter-wise insights from a billing pov and tracking status. Reports will be sent at the partner and the cluster head level.
Practice Specific:
A) Utilization: to track practice utilization and share with the partners and the cluster heads. Role will involve downloading reports, structuring them in an easy-to-understand way and sharing them with the partners. Once the reports are shared, to get matter-wise insights from a practice utilization pov and tracking status.
Reports will be sent at the partner and the cluster head level.
B) Reviews: to gather data from different sources and fill the review document with feedback from cluster heads.
C) Business Plan: to work with practice cluster heads to design and track the execution of the business plan.
D) Performance Measurement: to track partner and practice performance for the cluster heads. To create summary sheets and share insights with the cluster heads. Ability to build in futuristic views on performance for the year (e.g. Billing and recovery till a date, how much more is expected in the remaining months and hence what could the practice and partner numbers be at the end of the year)
E) Any other assistance that the practice will need.
Personality and skills:
a) Ability to forge deep working relationships with the relevant partners and their teams
b) Ability to think in a structured way
c) Zeal to help the practice meet its numbers
- MBA graduate with adequate experience and understanding of service business operations
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work under pressure stringent deadlines
- Candidates trained adequately in the professional services environment preferred
