Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify the highest priority programs
- Provide OptumTech and business stakeholders intelligence on the health of the portfolio
- Understand, evaluate and manage risks to the portfolio(Look for indicators which provide an insight into underlying issues etc, help uncover these trends and communicate with stakeholders)
- Balance commitments to achieve maximum results within the capacity of the budget and staffing
- Partner to continuously improve portfolio processes
- Participate in coordination of resource management including IT resources, business resources and vendor resources
- Communicate effectively and timely with appropriate peers across the business and IT organizations
Required Qualifications:(7-10 years)
- 7 or more years of professional experience in Information Systems driving change and/or operating complex systems
- 7 or more years of professional IT management experience in a large, enterprise environment
- 3 or more years of professional Manager level matrixed experience in a large, enterprise environment
- Experience in health care benefit business
- Financial Management experience
- Tools: PPMOptics/Clarity or similar enterprise wide applications
- Well versed in MS suite - Projects, office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Application Development experience
- Program Management experience
- Graduate/PG Degree : Educational qualification ; major in Computer science, Technology
- PMP or similar certifications
Deliverables:
Assist with updating portfolio program financials and demographics daily/ weekly in PPMOptics
Assist with preparing updates/reporting regarding portfolio health for monthly Portfolio Investment meetings (e.g., program maturity, program spend by goal/strategy, & program performance)
Identify and correct manually maintained portfolio data that is not correctly aligned (e.g., program maturity)
Align all Ideas, programs, and projects with UHC Goals, Strategy, and Tactics - daily / weekly
Assist with the tracking of Ideas from submission thru funding approval daily/weekly
Provide monthly analysis indicating the financial health of the portfolio by identifying risks in the programs utilizing Actuals, Forecasts, Burn Rates etc.
- Identify trends and issues.
- Identify under-performing and over-achieving programs and recommend changes to forecast and or status
Identify resources / tasks not staffed on programs to determine impact to finances monthly
Verify IT resource and queue capacity for programs prior to funding approval

FP&A - 2-3% (good to have)
- Well versed with reporting tools (Clarity/Cognos/PPM Optics)
- Program management, Risk assessment, document review
