Desired Candidate Profile
- PMP or Prince2 certified in or before 2010
- Bachelors or higher education degree with overall 6+ years of experience with 2-3 years of experience in two or more of the following areas-
- Organisational Project Management, Portfolio Management, Strategic Alignment and Execution, Program Management, Developing a Project Management Office, Organisational Project Management Maturity model.
- Hands-on knowledge of project management tools and techniques
- Must be a strategic thinker and innovator who has proven success advancing organisational maturity by building and leading successful teams by applying PMO methodologies tailored to the business culture.
- Must have the ability to develop and implement PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.
- Possesses outstanding analytic and problem solving skills as well as a strong ability to dissect up from business requirements and realize true business need in order to identify opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills and exposure to International assignments and/or client engagement with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Excellent writing and reporting skills in order to transform the conversations and the current working procedures into a documented business process.
- Analytical bend of mind in order to understand the business needs and the workflow of the management and the administration tasks.
Job Description
The candidate will need to understand & comprehend client requirements and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include-
- Support project initiatives, including identifying and analyzing preliminary business needs, budget considerations, time and resource estimates, defining the project scope and objectives, and getting business user sign-off.
- Participates in departmental strategic and budgetary planning processes; provides recommendations on policies and goals desired; and implements new/revised programs according to established guidelines.
- Overall management and co-ordination of the Project.
- Defining the Project organisation and ensuring Project resources are in place.
- Managing and leading the Project team.
- Managing co-ordination of the workstreams and teams engaged in Project work.
- Ensures clear communication paths within the Project team and client and supplier.
- Setting and agreeing Project approach and ensuring integration of workstreams.
- Directing the production of a detailed, integrated Project plan.
- Managing Project dependencies and deliverables in line with the Project plan.
- Overall monitoring of Project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID).
- Managing specific Project issues and risks and escalating where necessary.
- Monitoring of, and responding to, issues escalated by the workstreams.
- Resolving cross-functional issues at Project level.
- Managing Project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary.
- Monitoring Project progress and performance and managing against the Project budget.
- Providing status reports to the Programme Manager and Programme Board.
- Liaison with, and updates progress to, programme board/senior management.
- Co-ordination of and input to the requirements and design.
- Ensure the requirements team and workstreams work closely with users to ensure the Project meets business needs.
- Day to day management of the workstream leads.
